SAHLE SELASSIE JACK

Born in Trinadad & Tobago, raised in Brooklyn NY, Sahle Selassie loved art since he was a young boy. He began sketching at the age of 3 and spent most of his youth drawing in solitude or playing basketball with friends. Raised by artistic Caribbean parents, Sahle’s talents were passed down to him by his father who also shares similar gifts in the world of painting, fashion and design. At the age of 15, Sahle started an internship at Rocawear, where he learned to design and his true love for fashion began. He worked there for 3 years all throughout high school. At the age of 20 he began designing for FILA where he learned production and specialized in designing sneakers.

In 2012, after 5 years at FILA, Sahle decided to take the entrepreneurial route and focus on his clothing brand Biella Hommé Club, an innovative athleisure fashion line. Biella Hommé means beautiful being and is a combination of both French and Italian. Sahle released his first collection in 2012 for men and eventually released his first women’s collection in 2022. Sahle began painting officially in 2014, at the age of 27. Now,  Sahle operates a creative design + print studio where he works with varies clients and brands offering his expertise.
